Dr. Madhu Purushothaman

Dr. Madhu Purushothaman is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics. After his MBBS degree from Madras Medical College, Dr. Madhu did his pediatric residency training at the Brookdale University Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Following his residency, Dr. Madhu was a clinical fellow in General Academic Pediatrics at the Harvard Medical School & Children’s Hospital Boston, which is ranked as America’s No.1 Children’s Hospital. During his clinical fellowship at the Harvard Medical School, Dr. Madhu has done seminal work in the field of lead poisoning, pediatric environmental & school health.

Dr. Madhu has served as faculty in Pediatrics at prestigious universities in the United States like the University of Pittsburgh and the University of Texas. Dr. Madhu is presently a Consultant Pediatrician at Apollo Children’s Hospital, Chennai.

Dr. Madhu was honored by the American Medical Association with the Physician Recognition Award and by the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin with the Young Physician Leader Award. He is currently a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
